Ok I see listings for 425mm blades but more for 430mm will the 5mm just a hair over 1/8" make much difference. Is the clearance with the rear rotor that close . The 430 blades appear to be most common therefore more reasonably priced. Thanks in advance for your replies

Re: 425mm vs 430mm blades

Length comparison alone is useless. You need to compare what other features are different between these blades.

So I would have to ask: What is the difference in chord, mass, airfoil shape and blade tips? these variables are also very important when comparing blades

If I were to assuming the chord and mass are the same, I honestly don't see what the difference is going to be.

When blade lengths are variable on a heli, it was usually for increased autoration mass or longer/higher aspect ratio rotors for better response.

Take the Align 450 blades. 325 to 335 = 3% increase in blade length. Slightly better response, but longer tail boom may be needed for better TR clearance.

in the old days we flew 500's and went to 550's = 9% increase in length. When you made that mod, you HAD to get a longer tail boom or a tail strike was inevitable.

in your case, 425 to 430 = 1% increase.

Its so little its laughable. Order whichever one makes sense to you
