It kills me to do this, but I have to sell my Tamjets 1/12 F-16 Airframe. I bought it last year from Lilphil26 here on the forum with the intention of getting it in the air this summer. Unfortunately my wife recently lost her job and there's no way I'll be able to afford the turbine needed to get it airborne. Instead of sitting in my room collecting dust, I've decided to sell it and maybe try again in a few years. I've got enough in the hangar already to keep me busy this summer.

Here is the link to the original posting from Phil. The airplane is in the exact same condition I recieved it in. I haven't touched a thing.

The airframe is assembled and the retracts are included & installed. The air system isn't set up, but I have all of the plumbing required. Phil had it set up to accept a Jetcat 70 I believe, but a Wren 44 or a Jetcat 20 or 60 would be a better fit.
It could also be very easily converted to electric.

The wings were permantly fixed with Hysol. Because of this I will not ship the model, local pickup only. I can deliver anywhere in the GTA area. I'm willing to drive 100Km or so outside of the city if needed

I paid $700
Asking: $650 o.b.o.

I will post pictures when I get home from work today.

In the meatime here is the Specs page from the Tamjets site, and some links to videos.

Re: Tamjets 1/12 F-16 w/retracts - Assembled - Never Flown

Well its a shame that you wont be able to fly it Cory. I can vouch for anyone interested that Cory is a super guy to deal with, and he did indeed pay $700 for the plane. It is setup to run a wren 70, not a jetcat. The jetcat p70 would be way to be in there. All up it weighed 9 lbs with fuel, and made 15.5lbs of thrust with my wren in it. You dont have to be a genius to figure out it would be a guided missile. An electric conversion would fly this plane anywhere from 120 to 190 mph, depending on how much you want to spend on a power system. My wren 70 would push it close to 250mph, but as good of an airplane it is, i dont see it staying it one piece at that speed. For $650 bucks, someone is getting a deal. I paid over 1100 canadian for the kit, with the cockpit and retracts, and there is servos included in it, along with a uat, and other hardware.

Good luck with the sale Cory.

Thanks for the help & kind words Brad. I'll evetually get a turbine in the air. I'm just going to have to wait a little while longer.
