Noob Profile for 450 on DX8

Remove this ad - become a site supporter!
Context: I'm in the Noob stage
Hardware: Brand new DX8 and Phoenix v3 Sim.

Looking to purchase a 450 heli - either the Blade or a Trex (Blade for performance/price/value).

So.....question.....does anyone have (can you do this) a tamed down profile for a 450 CP that I can upload to my DX8 to help me start flying a CP rotor??

I know I haven't put that much time (any really) in the sim but I don't want to start off crashing a new 450 if I can help it.

Or are there settings that are recommended for newbies??

Thanks a ton in advance.

i have both a blade 400 and a hk 450 , both with tamed down settings .
on top of that you can tame the heli down in its set up. for example adding fly bar weights. My biggest advice to you is run a good gyro like the GY401.
PM me with a email and i will send you my DX8 profiles for them.

Start by understanding and knowing how to setup the heli other wise you will go through alot of batteries and wont even get off the ground. Once you setup the heli get some landing gear made and try hovering on a hard surface while controlling drift. I got nowhere until I knew how to fine tune the linkages and servos. Once I knew I had it setup right up she went!

Once you get to the collective pitch heli stage it is very important you understand how to set up your chopper and radio. If you follow the instructions with your heli it will make it easier for you to make adjustments while you learn to fly. If I may make a suggestion no offence to Blade 400 owners but buy a T-Rex or clone as I have had nothing but grief from the Blade 400 rotor head. The Align and its copies are much easier to set up and adjust and the mixing is much more effective to the point where I put a T-Rex 450*head on a Blade 400 and now it flies great. The more you understand about an initial setup it can be applied to all helicopters regardless of size.
