Anybody using the servo mesh to wrap over their servo wires?
If so, how do you keep the ends from fraying? Do you heat them with a BIC lighter before

Re: Using Servo Mesh

I've used it on a couple helis. I find you have to use heat shrink tube on the ends. Even heating the ends of the mesh with a lighter doesn't keep them from ultimately unraveling.

I don't think I'll use it much again as it ended up being mostly for looks. If the leads are run and properly strain relieved, the covering seems redundant.

Your mileage may vary...

p.s. you need to use the shrink tube with the heat activated adhesive in it.

Re: Using Servo Mesh

Thanks for the replies guys!
I guess I just user it to protect the wires before using the zip ties.
Mark, the heat shrink is harder to find here at a reasonable price.
Rick, thanks for the offer, but I will pass
