I am trying to setup the servo for my tail. Blade 400 with HK401B I had it setup great with a analog servo. The Turnigy digital servo arm will not go perfectly vertical. I don't want to use sub trims as I am in heading lock mode.

I think I need to turn the gears in the servo. Before I open it is this right?

Re: Turnigy DS 480

First, try another arm, or see if you can find a 4-arm servo arm. then try each arm in the position you need, rotating the arm 90deg at a time and checking. These 4-arm servo arms have the splines offset between each arm, so by trying each arm position, you may be able to find a position that works for you. then just cut off the other 4 arms and there you go.

another option is to use a servo wheel and put the hole where you need it.

Re: Turnigy DS 480

So I have no patience. I opened it Immediatly after posting this thread. I found no matter which gear I rotated the splines would never line up so the arm was perfectly orientated. I thought I would just install it and adjust the tail linkage to make up for it. So I mounted the servo and noticed it was functioning in reverse. I went into the menu changed it to normal and SHABAM!! the arm is perfectly verticle now. How is that possible? lol anyway it works and on to the fine tuning today
