Michel, here are some close ups. Pretty straight forward set up, just have your dowels line up with the skids. I used velcro to attach it to the heli, makes it quick on and off. I think the rotopod setup with the hoop on the bottom instead of balls would be great- best of both worlds. Regardless, anything is better than nothing especially when it saves you having to buy parts.

In the past I would have said +1 on the hula hoop. That was a good way to go in the old days

this photo taken of the setup I used in the early 80's

nowadays I find it to be a bit heavy though. for a 60 ship OK, but the smaller helis dont like the weight, so I no longer recommend that. What I tell all my students now is to glue the ends together of shish-kebab skewers(use grocery store skewers, not dollarama skewers the grocery store ones are thicker and stronger) , then bind with string & glue. Make 2, glue 4 styro balls on each end, and then cross them over and rubber band to the skids.

the best part? it only costs 2 bucks
