Joe, sorry to hear you guys had a bad day in windsor.

I think your imagination is getting the best of you though.

planes snap all the time especially when low and too slow.

engines quit all the time, even in a hover.

as for your 30 percent, lots of things could explain that. pushrod change perhaps. I've seen them stretch after sitting in the hot sun for instance.

don't think it's anything related to 2.4

all of the above were common with 72 as well. you do remember don't you??

futaba 2.4 works just fine here in nova scotia.
Papa Sharptooth

Bouncing about the living room, my then three year old grandson declared himself "a kangaroo".
"If you're a Kangaroo, what is Grampie", I ask.
His reply: "you a dinosaur"

Re: Futaba FASST 2.4 Receiver Glitches?

I had a Brownout last summer - Futaba Fast 2.4 First flight of the day was fine - later in the afternoon after the model had been sitting in the sun 35+ no wind - No venting hmmmm figured the RXVR overheated - Model got real mushy and about 3seconds later had no control model flew into forest and impalled itself on a tree 80ft in air.

Retrieved RCVR batteries and they had a good charge left on them still

This year model has vent holes just infront of wing and vent holes after wing in the fuse
Vents in front are NASA style

I want some airflow in the fuse - Oh note if you read about subject you will notice Futaba don't reccomend you use other than futaba servo's or multiple types with their RCVR's - On large models I was told by Dave Rees to avoid putting the ailerons into a y-harness as it ups the volts going into 1port on the RCVR

Not Happy? - Form your own Jet club "OVJ"
