Well looks like it's time to trade in the Dx7 for this new one. I'll bet they fly off the shelf.

Make sure that scroll button is metal and not plastic..The plastic scrolls are notoriously bad

They don't mention the modulation. Is it still DSM2, fixed on two channels once bound, or have they switched to their "DSMX", --their feeble attempt at a pseudo or semi FHSS.

I would not buy one unless they roll out the's just a matter of time before the DSM/DSM2 users start having more noticeable difficulty with interference here in Canada. Too bad, 'cause it seems like Spektrum offers good value in features for the money.

Re: The New 7S system from Spektrum

Even though I prefer the technology of FHSS, I presently have 2 DX7's and never had an issue so far. The DSMX is a start in the right direction, and presently I am considering the service feature that allows me to return my DX7 to the factory to get the DSMX upgrade for 50 bucks.. Might be worth it, but like I said, I have never had a problem so far with what I have now.

Nevertheless, this new radio is a welcome addition to the spektrum family. I would not hesitate to recommend it to any of my new students that are looking for radio.
