Re: Futaba Motor???

Hey Chris:

Cool. This hobby just keeps getting better and better - improvements in LiPo technology and batts in general, improvements in electronics and electrics and with competition, reasonable prices. Back in 1978 when started in R/C my first transmitter was a Hobby Lobby six channel system (purchased on 137th Ave in Edmonton, AB, at the Hobby Lobby hobby shop) - no dual rates, no servo reversing (one of the four supplied servos ran in the opposite direction to be used as required), no end point etc, etc. and the system cost almost $500.00! When I brought package home I remember thinking that I'd died and gone to heaven. I'd sit in my living room with the receiver, batt and servos sitting on the coffee table and me on the couch - when I moved the transmitter sticks, the servos responded as if by magic - no strings attached

I looked at the pics of both os and futaba brands and they look different to me. The only similar thing between them is that they are basic outrunners designs.

Not sure why the futaba site is promoting the os motor, especially if they are coming out with their own design.

I think this is what you were refering to on the futaba site. Note pic #6 in the slide show.
