Airtronics XL trans battery help

I pulled the battery pack to rebuild it,and neglected to write down the wiring connections.
It's a 6 channel XL FM vintage 1982, gold stickered in 91.
The transmitter wiring to the battery has a pair - one black, the second one black with a gray or white stripe.
Which is positive?
Thought I'd ask before possibly frying the critter!
And where can I get a manual for the unit? I've checked via google with no luck.

Re: Airtronics XL trans battery help
Negative is in the middle and the positive is on the end. The black wire with the white tracer is positive.
I keep having the same mechanical problem. I've got a loose nut on the transmitter!
