Hi OPRN. Regular CA has no effect on ARCEL and other similar foam.

Quote from the Multiplex cularis instruction manual about epoxies and foam friendly ca's

"Adhesives: cyano-acrylate (“cyano”) and activator
Use high-viscosity cyano-acrylate glue (“thick cyano” - not styrofoam cyano) in conjunction with activator (“cyano kicker”). Epoxy
adhesives produce what initially appears to be a sound joint, but the bond is only superficial, and the hard resin breaks away
from the parts under load."

its superior stiffness and stability allow us to achieve a delicate and refined "no covering required" design that is ultralight
I don't understand;
Why buy a kit that is designed to not require covering?
(it is a great looking glider though)

Why? While we think there is no substitute for EPP in "rough and tumble" type gliders that see alot of abuse on the slope (like the Weasel), ARCEL made more sense for the Alula given the glider's thin wing and low weight design requirements. ARCEL is also very easy to paint and lends itself to being built without any film or tape covering.
