Hot Shots to the rescue

Time was tight last year when I finished my 1/3 scale Fly Baby, flew it a few times and entered the Scale Classic in Vernon. The suitcase bomb had to be left out, so the static score was effected but I was happy with 26 something out of 30.
Pondered all winter how to build it as there are no building details on the plan. For the main body, 3-1/4 sheet balsa circular formers were cut out with a square hole in the center for a 1/2 X 1/2 balsa spar. To get nice round ends I used the domed plastic lid from an iced capuccino drink from the local "Hot Shots" The hole in the top for the straw to pass through was plugged with a balsa disk and sanded to shape.
Now I know there are not going to be a lot of Fly Baby's built but the idea to be creative and look for products that can be useful to our hobby instead of discarding.

Ever since I learned to fly better, I've had a lot less radio problems!
