Re: Great Planes GeeBee

some positive reinforcement for this plane. The same airplane owned and flown by my son at a father's day meet in Cape Breton over the weekend.

An excellent flyer, e-powered with an eflite 160 powered by 9s 5000 lipos (5cell and 4 cell in series), 2800 watts in a 13.5 lb airframe. The 22 inch prop looks scale on that large cowl.

This plane looks squat, but in fact IS NOT short coupled. In fact if you place a similar wingspan model alongside it the moments are about identical.

On the above power it's totally aerobatic, and is easily flown with no bad habits. The fuse acts like a giant airfoil and knife edge is pretty neat.

We had some problems last season with it nosing over on landing. Turns out the wheel pants were flexing and grabbing the wheels, instant brakes, but some reinforcement to the sides of the pants has eliminated this and she now lands very nicely and stays on her feet. It slows amazingly well for landings as well and shows NO tendency to stall.

A fast and very groovy airplane. photos made on the weekend. Inverted circuits were a breeze.

Papa Sharptooth

Bouncing about the living room, my then three year old grandson declared himself "a kangaroo".
"If you're a Kangaroo, what is Grampie", I ask.
His reply: "you a dinosaur"

Re: Great Planes GeeBee

Sent Bob-O a PM with infor he asked for, astrofler thanks for the some positive reinforcement for this plane as well as photos as thats what I had thought about doing and if I don't sell it thats what I will still do. I'm just without a field at this time and could always use the funds for other projects. John
