Storage for RC hauler :)

I ran into trouble with my backup R/C aircraft carrier and #1 summer cruiser on my trip to Sault Ste. Marie this past weekend. That's the R/C content.....

So, my beloved 1971 Buick Riviera is sitting in a friend's driveway in SSM with a blown engine. My friend does not have the room for it and it is a major inconvenience.

I am currently trying to scramble up a 3/4 truck and tandem trailer to pick it up, but am running into some trouble with that too. I found out today that none of our local rental agencies have trucks with that capacity anymore. They did last week, but have since sold them to the MNR.

I'm looking for outdoor storage (short term) until I can get back down there to pick it up. If things continue the way they are, it may be late August before I can get down there again. Any suggestions?

Also, if anyone is traveling this way with a truck and empty tandem trailer, maybe we could talk

Thanks in advance

Re: Storage for RC hauler :)

Take the driveshaft out of the rear diff and rent a tow dolly from U-Haul. Any 1500 series truck will tow it as long as it has a V8 in it. The tow dolly is about $50 per day...

If it has the ST-400 automatic transmission, it's front wheel drive & no driveshaft to remove ---- the "T" means Transverse & the rear wheels would be free to roll. The Tow Dolly is a good suggestion as "Skidoo55" mentioned in post #2.
