Re: Mid-Season Recap

Weather has been "so-so". John must fly "in the still of the night" to go thru 24 jugs of nitro. Have only put thru 2 jugs of nitro thru my U-Can-Do and about 5 litres of gas thru my Yak 54 - 30 c.c. gasser.
To my pleasant surprise I am really enjoying my first electric. (see photo) It is an MXS-EXP from Extreme Flight. Have had close to 40 flights on it so far. Great for flying in the evenings after the wind dies down at our field which is about 10 minutes from my home. This plane can easily handle our grass flying field both for take offs and landings and taxing back over the grass. Because of a bad back etc. I can not hand launch so this was a concern. It weighs 52 oz. battery included, swings a 12X6 APC and has tons of power. I never thought that I would like an electric plane! Cheers

Thumbs up Re: Mid-Season Recap

hey guys, yes i do fly a lot. i am out to the field usually five days a week and burn half to a whole jug while there each time. having said that i have rediscovered the joy of just relaxing and flying less and talking more, especially now that it is really hot outside. i rented a 32' houseboat for a week and am leaving this afternoon to go up and down the Trent-Severn Waterway with my son (sorry about your plane, jonathan!!).. cheers, john

Re: Mid-Season Recap

I'm on my 15th liter of gas on my 50cc EG Aircraft Slick 540 and I've put about 7 or so liters through my 100cc Carden Yak.

I'm having a great season so far! Having fun in IMAC and my 3D is getting better all the time! Having a blast!
