Hi Dale,

Just to confirm - the red wire will be the first positive - the next three positives will be black and the final black wire will be negative.

Sounds like they should mix another colour wire in there to avoid all this confusion!

Thank you for your advice - and I copy the 0.7a.

Andrew, the lead that comes from the 4th cell is going to be red. This is used to identify the pos lead or the highest voltage of the group. The 0 point or equivelant to neg is Black, cells 1,2,3 need no color as they are not identified conductors, only by placement.

Re: Balance charge multiple 1S LiPo batteries?

Rule of thumb regarding safe charging of series/parallel packs:

- All batteries should be of the same make, cell count and mAh capacity.
- All batteries should have a similar charge level. Do not mix fully charged and discharged packs. This also means you cannot swap out a discharged pack for a charged one and try to charge it.

IMHO, parallel charging is a better option for these 1S packs. I have been doing this for the past year with my micro planes and it's very flexible. You can connect as many or as few packs as you want. Simply adjust the mAh to suit. I can fly almost continuously this way as I can charge while I fly. It also helps that I use 5C charge capable Hyperion G3 packs... 12min charge times.

With a series arrangement, you can only charge a fixed number of packs. You would have to wait until all packs are discharged until charging... and wait for them to charge back up.
