dle 30 carb problems

Looks like I finally got my inverted dead sticks under control.after fighting this motor since maidenfest.the problem seemed to get worse as time went on.I've had the carb apart dozens of times and adjusted the needle height with no luck.I narrowed it down to the needle lifting of the seat and flooding out the motor if I flew inverted for more than a couple seconds.Inverted loops were a no no and inverted flat spins were ok a month ago but not in the last couple weeks .This is madening,I broke 4 sets of carbon gear on my 3dhs slick from pan caking the thing in various high alfa deadsticks, its a very tuff plane let me tell you.Anyway my carb is mounted diaphram up so inverted the needle falls of the seat and richens it up,I think the opposite would happen if the diaphram was on the bottom,it would lean inverted.Anyway I had an old weedeater sitting around ,so I used the needle valve spring and arm and it now flies in every position perfectly.Even did 5 inverted loops in a row at less than 1/2 throttle and no deadsticks.Mind you the carb had to be set up again after the spring replacement.hope this helps some one else becuase this was the nicest running unreliable motor i've ever had and that sucks to have a great flying 3d plane that won't fly inverted.
