I think Spectrum by far has had the most amount of recalls. But ask the owner and they'll tell you its perfect. I can say this because I fly JR
Actually I mentioned having problems. As my dx8 was my first radio and only radio at the time, I have nothing else to compare to. After 3 crashes and one lost plane I was really getting frustrated with this radio. So much that I was considering selling everything and finding another hobby. After getting the dx8 back from service I made a few flights each time pushing the range more and more until I can't see it any more. Every time the plane came back with 0 brown outs. I can say I am enjoying the hobby much more now and have full confidence in my radio.

Re: Signal Loss Poll

As I also stated in my reply, I've owned futaba, spektrum and jr and have had problems with none of them.

The fact that spektrum is so popular, especially with beginners, is something to keep in mind.

Re: Signal Loss Poll

Have used Futaba FASST in racing with no issues.
I've always flown Spektrum DSM2 with my DX7 and no issues.

I've never had an issue that wasn't caused by my own fault or other equipment failure. My radio setups have always performed as they should.

Re: Signal Loss Poll

I have to withdraw my vote from the poll. I misunderstood, so here's the clarification.

I have always used Futaba and I do use a Spektrum-for-Futaba module occasionally for BNFs

I have had the following problems:

1. Shot down once while using an E-Flight 72Mhz Tx with my CP Pro. Other guy turned his Tx on while I was indoor flying.

2. FASST Rx went into failsafe because I let the Rx battery go dead (I mean right down to way less than 4 volts!!!!) during "yard testing".

Otherwise, I've NEVER had a problem with any system with glitches, brown outs, etc.

I've NEVER had to have a Futaba Tx sent away, serviced or fixed for any reason other than to replace batteries that deteriorated from normal wear, tear, age.

What has "popular" got to do with anything?

Most people use Windows and it's garbage compared to Mac. It's popular because it's cheap and it's gotten a jump in market share. It too will lose its spot once everyone gets fed up enough doing Microsoft's "testing" and quality control FOR them.

Windows is crap compared to Mac..........? Now there is a perfect example of one whom is forsaking all else in lieu of.
Chevys are better than Fords, Dodges are better than Chevys, etc, etc......

Re: Signal Loss Poll

OP requested thread be deleted and or closed. Poll was misleading. I realized after fixing the poll who knows how people voted. In the end, junked.
