ESC Setting

Ok I ran into this problem awhile ago but can't remember the cure. I had flymentor problems and wanted to continue on went to see if motor rotation was correct but get a beep beep beep after gyro initiates. The radio is set to reverse on channel 3 as radio is futaba. Trim is all the way down. I am thinking I have to do an EPA so it is low enough setting for ESC is that correct

If you can't eat it or hump it.

Pee on it and walk away.

Re: ESC Setting

Likely your end point at the bottom is not low enough, (don't forget you also asked about the ATL function).

On Futaba you can set the travel at each end. Go into the basic programming page and it should be the first option. Check that the travel is set to at least 100% and increase the setting 10% each time and try again.

One other thing that may affect it is your heli throttle curve page. If your set point for low throttle is too high then the ESC will also not see enough range to arm.

WARNING: For some reason I always found Futaba a little wierd in that their end point settings could inadvertently light off the motor if moving the wrong way. Another bit of fun on my 6XHS was the fact the heli lit off and tried to lurch around the family room when I hit memory programm. During the write I had no control.
I know there's money in aviation........I put it there!
