       Remove this ad - become a site supporter!
Put a bead of JB Weld around the outermost edge of the muffler outlet and let it cure, Slip the deflector over and simply zip tie it....I have never lost any since I have been doing this.

You can fly Hitec or use the other "low tech" stuff!!

I mounted the back piece of the muffler on an arbour and turned the diameter on the lathe and left a barb to hold the tubing on. Then used a zip tie and tightened it up with the zip tie tool from Princess Auto which tightens it and cuts it at the same time. A 2 56screw in the end with a zip tie is easier though if you don't have a lathe or if it can't work that way. Sometimes you can use heater hose or vacuum lines to extend them too. It isn't too hot by the time it gets to the outlet and the diameter is a fair bit bigger the the outlet hole. It is somewhat quieter too.
