Beging to fly.

I have recently been hit hard with the RC aircraft world thank to my uncle who has many large planes and has inspired me to want to build and fly. I started with a night vapor and moved up to a HBZ super cub which has proven to be a good tool in learning to fly. I have put the cub on floats and upgraded the foam wheels to rubber. I am currently looking to move up yet again and am thinking of purchasing a E flight Beaver and am curious on what radio and receiver to go with any advice would be great. I am looking at the Spectrum DX7 or DX7S and am not sure about the pros and cons as the terminology used to describe these items is past me. Again any advice is welcome.

Re: Beging to fly.
Welcome it is a great hobby! Check this thread from last week where a bunch of folks commented...
My advice - if you can afford it (and like Spektrum) get the DX7S (or DX8 which may be overkill) and it will keep you busy for a long time! Don't buy a DX7 new at this time they as you have noticed they are about to be superseded. (unless it is an awesome deal!)
But then again - surely your uncle has an opinion if he flies big ones?
Go fly before it is too late!
