DLE definately want 30:1 for it's life time, but the DA calls for a drop to 50:1 after break in - but I could keep using the 32:1 if I can stand the oily residue and fouled spark plugs...
They (DA) also recommend a pure synthetic oil (Mobil MX2T) that runs at 32:1 that will make EVERYONE happy... looks like a plan!

Go to your local Stihl dealer and get some ultra HP synthetic oil. Mix it at 32 to 1 and run it in all your gas engines.
If your fouling plugs then your engine is not tuned properly. Nice clean tan plug is what you want, anything black is just to rich.
I have a nice white GP super stearman with a DLE 30 and with a nice tan plug I get very little oil residue under my plane.
By the way, the DLE 20 turns more RPM, that's why it needs more oil!!!!!!
