Monday--glue on wing bevels, start cowl standoffs

Thursday--Glue in cowl baffle, start sanding

Everytime I get that ambitious it seems the 'honey do list' gets in the way...lol but there is nothing like getting close to covering to boost the inspiration factor.

Re: Carden PRO Built by Lee

Oh yeah !!! Getting to the covering stage is huge motivation to press on.
I am getting very close myself. I could actually start covering quite a bit of stuff right now But I need the building behind me. Almost there

Re: Carden PRO Built by Lee

Today's list is done The hard points for the stab were made using 1/2 dowel and the bolt from the Dubro heavy duty horn set was inset into it and the dowels glued in with Probond. I make the holes right at the edge of the balsa bevels and down to the top skin but not through. Using Dubro heavy duty hardware and H9 3 inch turnbuckles. Servos...well hopefully some SBUS brushless but holding out for the 157 types

Work, work, work...did the lightening in the bottom deck and blinging up the cockpit. Should have the canopy trimmed by the end of the day too. Pics to follow after the game (Pittsburg vs Washington) . Go Pens

Re: Carden PRO Built by Lee

Well got two our of three jobs done today plus lightened the bottom of the fuse which I had forgotten to do! The cockpit looks pretty in all that cf and kevlar and I used some cf rods to strengthen the back of the hatch. I should have the canopy glued on by wednesday as planned.

Re: Carden PRO Built by Lee

Keeping on track and happy to report that the bevels are all glued on the wings. I tried the badsaw method for the bevels and they came out real nice
Now onto the cowl mounts...Had to put the bird together for some inspirational pics. Me Like
