Just personal preference. Kurt Koelling who designed it has both versions and likes the non-counter balanced one which has a more sensitive rudder (uses more expo and less deflection to get the same result).
I'm not flying unlimited yet (maybe this year but we'll see) so not sure it matters to my flying style.

Re: Carden PRO Built by Lee

I'm sure the plane would fly great either way. Good to know the difference though.

Thx Lee

Re: Carden PRO Built by Lee

Teaser pic The painting is almost done but now I remember why I hate spraying...got some colored dots spit onto the cuffs while doing clear coat so have to sand and redo those and touch up some of the orange where I sprayed too thick and it crazed. Almost made me crazed too Oh well the color match is perfect...
More sanding!

Re: Carden PRO Built by Lee

Looks like my SBus servos are going to be late so I am going to use my smart fly system in this plane for now. Will be interesting to compare the hitec 5955 and 7955 servos compared to the 90755 Futaba SBus servos.
So radio install this week and some minor finishing like paint touch up, pilot install and final rudder install.
No more pics till she's finished completely just to keep the suspense up

Re: Carden PRO Built by Lee

Still waiting for the SBus receiver and some servos in the interim I've put in Hitec 7955s all around that we're on my JTech Extra and installing the SmartFly EQ6 Turbo. Still impressed with that system and love the integrated ignition kill and pin switches!
Should be all ready to fire up by middle of next week and then some taxi tests at the field if the weather gets any better...plus one and windy with minus twelve windchill. Can you say what the f...!!!
