Hi Trev. I think I weighed the stock M box with F2 on at 34.9 ounces but I'll have to double check. I did some cutty cutty to the sides, lg plate, top front plate and the 1/8 off F2 last night. This took off about 2 ounces but I still have to do the firewall that will have to wait until I get my SWB mount sometime in the next few days.
There isn't much left to remove!
I also predrilled the G2 gear but need to get a tap for the bolts.
Epoxy and lots of other stuff is here to be picked up but I have a BCLS course to take tonight so Kathy will pick up and I can drool later

Awesome Lee!! Thanks for the info! When I get home tonight I'll compare that weight to the stock 126" mbox as shown in your picture with F2 only!

Quite curious, because the 126" is wider and taller and the tunnel ceiling is way beafier!

Cheers

Trev

Re: Carden PRO Built by Lee

Should start gluing the M box tonight. Got my glue, cf, digital incidence meter and other goodies. Been looking over everything and labeling the ply pieces and odd bits and pieces...lots of them! Carden does a great job of labeling the larger ones and even has many cut to proper length. Dennis even red dotted the main fuse longerons that should be used. Now that's dedication

Re: Carden PRO Built by Lee

Forgot to mention that a little box of goodies arrived courtesy of Trev. Got the 7955s in and a perfect fit! Question Trev...do you make any sort of bottom plate for the servos to sit on or do they just slip in and get secured by the 4-40 bolt?
Nice thing about building a new plane is "having" to buy new stuff!

Re: Carden PRO Built by Lee

No tray needed. They just fit in there by a bit of friction on the sides.

Re: Carden PRO Built by Lee

Glad you got the goodies Lee!!

To add to what Brad said, I've never used the 4-40 blind nut / lock-nut to tighten the box around the servo. I let the servos float in the boxes. Personal preference though!
