I didn't like the wiring so I removed my rudder (it is removable with a long wire) and inspected my hitec 7955s which are in great shape after two seasons sitting in the Durant boxes.
I made up two new rudder servo extensions and two battery extensions that all went into a new tube set down the middle of the fuse next to the other tube that holds the elevator extensions. Now everything is nice and neat and I'm ready to recover the bottom of the fuse after having installed the curved baffle behind the KS95 cans.

Re: Carden PRO Built by Lee

All that's left is to fit the new cowl, make some baffles, install the throttle servo, install the gas tank, paint the cowl, repaint the canopy deck, apply new decals and....maybe a few other things
Oh, well its only January thank goodness!

Always feels like you are almost done until you make that dreaded list, LOL.

I like your battery tray Lee. Will keep that in mind if I need lots of tail weight.

Re: Carden PRO Built by Lee

Its much easier the second time around to do things like the cowl fitting when you have a template to go by. The rings are lightened with various forstner bits.

Re: Carden PRO Built by Lee

What size of wire did you use for the battery extensions, I was thinking of using either 18 or 20 ga.

Re: Carden PRO Built by Lee

I think mine are 18 gauge silicone wire with deans connectors at both ends. Kent gave them to me and they were shortened a bit to reduce weight and make for a cleaner install.
