KMP Grumman Bearcat for sale, 71" wingspan, brand new never flown. Epoxy resin fiberglass fuselage with built up balsa and plywood wings covered in Solartex and painted to perfectly match with fuse.
Fuselage has tonnes of detail built right into the molds, comes with fiberglass cowl, which has been cut out to fit a Zenoah G26 and it's muffler. (motor was never run, just installed on airframe but is now removed and has been sold)
Comes with all servos, Hitec 645's on each aileron, each elevator and 1 on rudder. A 985 on each flap, and a couple of mini hitecs 225BB's for the throttle and retracts.
A JR 921 reciever is included as well as switches for radio and ignition (for gasser).
Fiberglass external fuel tank (would mount on bottom of fuse), also comes with gear strut covers (hard to see in photo, but they're next to the fuel tank
WW2 scale pilot installed
42% optical kill switch installed with red led light neatly placed in cockpit on instrument panel
Air fill valve and air pressure gauge installed on side of fuse near front just aft of cowl
Reversing "Y" harness for 1 of the elevators
Upgraded retract components: Robart air tank (stock leaked), Robart air switch valve (stock was total crap), put all new air line with quick disconnect fittings
2 JR 2700mAh 4.8v NMH batteries for the radio and ignition....side note, these batteries have never been used except for an initial charge, but they were purchased in mid 2008, so 3 years old
This is a beautiful warbird that has very nice scale details....panel lines etc.
Reason for selling, I got hooked on aerobatic planes and don't want to pursue this right now.
To be aware: the retracts have some adjustment screws that I find after about 8-10 retract cycles tend to work themselves a bit and some slop develops...I suspect if one were to lock tite that issue could be resolved
So to review, you would only need the following to fly this plane:
This is local pickup (no shipping), I would consider meeting toward the north part of the GTA.
I spent pretty near or over a grand on this, my asking price is $430
Thanks you for your interest, Eric
