This weekend saw us using 4 types of glue. Patched the LG of a foamy 300 with the brown GG, Put the wing retainer bracket in with medium CA. Jeff's Radian require "hot glue" on the control rod housing. Automotive silicon, was used to install servos in my new Radian fuse. The only thing that didn't get used was weldbond.

Right adhesive for the job and time allotment probably saves a lot of re-building time. I know 'cause I've had to rebuild a lot this year!

Re: What kind of glue?

No prob Dave. But (grin) do post how well it does work as I bought a bottle recently to do the dihedral brace/wing center joint on a small balsa ARF and have a couple of GWS Foamies to join and thought I'd try it there! Been reading all the posts on it's use, avidly.

That's how I do it as well.
My first bottle I stored normally and it crusted over with about 1/3 left.

My second bottle I have been storing it inverted exclusively, and I also minimize its exposure to air by squeezing out what I need on a piece of plastic (just like it was epoxy) and then putting the bottle away. Then I use a wooden coffee stir stick (you can get a huge bag from Dollarama) to spread the glue.

So far using this method, my second bottle is still good and it is nearly empty

Re: What kind of glue?

Also of course, like CA, it's the moisture in the air that gets in, that makes it set.
