Low heat and use a pickler to perforate the underlayer to help prevent bubbles.
I know there's money in aviation........I put it there!

A while back I posted this how-to on RCC:


For me it works very well. The aircraft on which I used this method of trim covering is still flying today and the trim shows no sings of lifting or peeling. Just one more method you might consider trying, in addition to the ones already mentioned here. Good luck.

I have applied Monokote to other plastic coverings by spraying the underlying covering with Windex and then puting the monokote on the wet underlying covering and squeeging out the excess Windex. Let dry for 24 hours and you have a very good finished product.
