The rudder works very well on my L39 and it does beautiful knife-edge flight.
It is essential if you plan on having landing gear.
Zen thinking * It's rebuildable till it fits back in the box. **

Re: Het l-39

Any progress on your L39?

I've gotten into this model and I seem to be getting about 1/2 way I figure

The rudder was a fair bit of work to get operational with a servo and getting servo's into the wings was alot of slow sand-to-fit work. I've got the main gear in place and now need to locate and cut out the nose wheel area on the fuse.

Re: Het l-39

Looking good. I have packed away all my stuff since I needed to clean the basement for a large family gathering last weekend. So, not too much progress. I have the elevator servo mounted and the servos in one wing. I just filled the holes with foam and stuck the servos in and covered them with plastic covers. I have been busy with travel and volunteer work and will be away over New Years. I hope to get going again the second week of January and then stay at it until completion. I seem to go through alternating periods of keen interest and then some times when I am not interested at all, so I never set any records at completing a project. Anyway, I hope you are well and that you and yours have a terrific Holiday season. Dare I say, "Merry Christmas".......
