Reference to other post:
Had signal problems, decided to take transmitter apart and saw what i think are two problems.
1st Problem -i see is the antena wire is severely pinched (circled top right corner) - is it safe to cut and rewire? or what should i do?
2nd problem -is the antena wire supposed to be sitting inside the arial housing like that (shown in picture)
Any help would be really appreciated.

Those 2.4Ghz antenna's are not meant to be modified, soldered, etc in any way. Trying to repair it is a bad idea and may result in damage to the RF deck in the radio. The only way to properly fix it is to replace the entire antenna assembly with a new one.
Call Horizon Hobby support and explain your problem. They will likely send you a new transmitter.
