A Proctor Parasol Antic, just started.

I love their quality kits, cant find a bad piece of wood in the box, plus the owners are great to deal with.

Re: What's on the bench for this winter?

Lots of neat sounding projects guys!

I'll be starting to build a TF P-51 .60 size kit I have and this will be my first attempt for retracts (planned at least). I have a DLE 20cc on the shelf that should work well for this.

I will be building 12 combat SPADS (6 Spitfires for me and 6 ME109's for my nephew) as I want to get these airframes done and ready for spring. I have enough .25's and gear to have 2 of each ready for flying with 4 airframes as spares and hope this is plenty for the 2012 combat season! Once I "perfect" a couple of changes I am making on them these should build quickly as assembly line style works great for SPADS.

And IF things go well I hope to start building a 35% Giles 202 (from Hostetler plans) for an IMAC plane, I don't anticipate having this plane completed by spring, but who knows! Would be 92.4"ws and my first big build.

I think that is about enough (for now ), mind you we are supposed to be in for a long cold winter here in Calgary so who knows!

Did you see that........I actually meant to do that...

Re: What's on the bench for this winter?

U-Can-Do 46 converted to electric. Supposed to be a winter project, nearly finished. So, cover the Bird of Time glider. I have a spare 1.20 4-St laying around. So, for that engine build the Super Sportster kit that has been under the bench for years. That is correct "BUILD" A KIT.

After Christmas.....We shall see.

Re: What's on the bench for this winter?

Beides finishing the reno job on the basement that's been hanging around for almost six months?!

Kougar, Super Sportster, Escapade, NexStar are the four kits that are sitting around taking up building space. Then at least one sport (Unionville Club Kricket scratch) and one scale project (TBD).

Of course, all those plans go out the window in two weeks when great-grand-daughter #1 comes into this world (name to be designated later due to paternal grand-mother having a snit fest over having HER mother's name changed to a more modern variant.....)

Re: What's on the bench for this winter?

Just finished a scratch-build Golden Oldie biplane from RCM plans (Fred Reese design) with an OS 40 Surpass. Now working on a Bridi Killer Chaos 60 from BlueJay Models with an HP 61 Gold Cup.

After that, in no particular order...
Sig Astro-Hog with Saito 72
Jack Stafford Aircoupe with an Enya 46, possibly
Pica WACO YMF-5 with Enya 120R
Top-Flite Airacobra, no engine yet
and a trainer-type plane to get my latent flying skills back!

I'm going to need a bigger workshop, and I'm too young to retire!

Re: What's on the bench for this winter?

Hangar 9 Spitfire.

Purchased it last month, picked up a Futaba 7c and just got a Saito 100 last week. I'm pretty much decided on the Keleo Creations exhaust and will be ordering it shortly.

I can't wait to get started, I'm just finishing a U-Boat model and then the Spit is a go!

Happy building guys!

Re: What's on the bench for this winter?

Hoping to finish one of my so far the longest project the Constellation which is 80% structurally complete, re-start on my 17' 1/12th scale Concorde EDF.

After these two:
Modifications that Nosen P-51B "Reno racer" needs
Pica 1/5th P-51D rebuild (Gone to another re builder's home tonite)
Palmer C130 i may re-start this year but highly doubt it.
40sz P-51D conversion into Reno racer "Vandetta" with Learjet wing and stabilizer.

Let see how far i get this winter...
