Make sure you tape off the holes on the bottom of the fuse. Snow can be a bugger on the ESC! Unless, of course, you catch it rather than land it.

Re: Beginner glider

Yes Brent, I noticed the snow getting in there so I took some packing tape and covered it for the winter. Something I did have a problem with is, I had a nose dive and the batt came loose and caught the antenna wire, ripping it out of the Rx. So for those of you who are planing on getting a Radian I suggest rerouting the long antenna wire. Is it possible to stick the wire back is the hole and glue it in with epoxy? When I stick the wire in the hole the Rx seems to be working OK.
PS Brent I noticed your #RC is 1/2, does that mean that you only have half a plane lol.

Re: Beginner glider

If the antenna pulled out of the RX you will need to open the case and solder it back on. You may be making a good connection when you push it in but it may move when in flight and result in total loss of control. After you solder and repair do a full range check and then again with motor running. I would hate to see you stuff it after all that planning.

Re: Beginner glider

I agree with Brian about the Rx Antenna, I've doinked enough planes with good Rx/Tx communication, no sense tempting fate. Iffy equipment that I have gets relegated to old planes I don't care too much about, or bench duty!

The "1/2" plane thing is a bit of a lark. But I've come home with 2 halves a couple times!
