Ok I probably same as some others have a few different size Helis .Now is there a rule of thumb for determining what heli runs at what headspeed. At best what we determine is only a mathimatical guess unless you actually have a Headspeed tac. I believe my Gaui is between 1950 and 2150. Guess I should get their calc out and determine what it is. Back to what I was asking ,as I said I believe my Gaui with 500 blades is in the 2000rpm range, but I have a 425 Gaui also what should that headspeed be. It makes sense to me that the longer and perhaps wider the blade should generate more lift than a shorter blade. So we have 325's, 425's,500's,600's,and 700's even getting bigger than that now I would imagine these should all have different headspeeds. I realize weight of heli and size will also have something to do with this. I am looking for a starting point as not all my Helis are new or have no setup manual

Handle every stressful situation like a dog.

If you can't eat it or hump it.

Pee on it and walk away.

Re: Headspeed for Helis

450s run at 3000-3200rpm
500s run at 2500-2800rpm
600s run at 1900-2300rpm
700s run at 1800-2100rpm

Depending how fast and furious you want it to be. If you want to get the best performance go for max. If you want long flight times and and you fly slow go for anything below until you find what works best.
