Re: CRRC 55cc Twin

I have been looking at this 55cc Twin myself. I bought a 50cc from Paragon last
winter to put in a 1/3 scale Yungmeister to replace a tired old Quadra. But never had the
time to do it. I would like to have that Twin to put in a Volksplane or a Jodel just
to putter around on a lazy day and do touch and gos. Relax flying. These two types
of aircraft are easy to build for the size to be. Local wood, light ceconite and nitrate
dope to make.
From what I have read The CRRC Twin is a nice sounding engine maybe not a powerhouse (for same weight you should opt for 70+cc) but it all depends what you
intend to do with it. Paragon from Ontario import that engine and runs it prior
to shipping. I have read if you buy same engine from China the quality
may not be the same as for the export version???
Let me know about your feedback.

Alberta Re: CRRC 55cc Twin

I believe this is the engine that dancrasho is running in his aeroworks extra 260 35cc airframe seems to be a good running engine reliable starting and not very loud like compareing a 2 stroke motorcross to a 4 stroke.

Hope the link works

Re: CRRC 55cc Twin

I am running it. Seems to run very well, have it in a 1/3 spacewalker. Once the carb was set up, starts well by flipping. Turning a 22-8 6600 rpm. Very smooth running engine, may not have the power of a single but it suits my needs.

Re: CRRC 55cc Twin

I have only run mine on a stand so far but it starts and runs really nice. Going into a Pilot-rc Sbach. Maybe not huge power but nice smooth running engine. Had a 50 single before this and it was as reliable as you can get. Bought both from Paragon.
