Sponsorizing – financing event (Jets Rally)
Remove this ad - become a site supporter!
As you may already know, we work on a Jet rally for June 2012, we already have our site and nearly everything is set up… We are now working on financing/sponsorizing the event. Since we don’t want to rely too much on visitors, we will need around 5000$ to make this events safely viable…
How do you guys finance your event ? Is our (hobby) sponsors give us enough money to reach those amount ? Where do you take the fonding ?

Re: Sponsorizing – financing event (Jets Rally)
Link to info on your event, will help in assisting you.
(I work on fund raising events, sponsorship deals, etc. etc. etc... many years of experience with dealing with larger firms to get dollars for charities.. a little different, but I can provide some help , at least a direction for you to head into to)
To start.. here is one idea.
Sponsorship funds can be generated in many , many, many different ways.
It's never easy to approach potential sponsors, and it's not easy for them to part with their dough , unless they've sponsored you before and have seen results of this sponsorship.
One way I've successfully raised funds is to sell them sponsorship advertising. Either on a Tshirt, or in a booklet/magazine/guide or a combination.
You have $5000 to raise? you can do 10 at $500 each , for that they get their logo on a nicely designed t-shirt and a quarter page advert in a show guide. For $1000 they get the logo on the t-shirt and a full page ad. (oh look, the 10 say, hmmm.. a full page ad in a show guide for double of what a quarter page ad is, sign me up, now you have $10000 instead of $5000, and have funds for next years show already)
If you have any questions, I do not mind helping you as much as I can.
