Steve: when she's all done, let us 'Southerners' know if you bring it down for a flight or showing. Anywhere from Parry Sound south and I'd love to see her.

Outstanding, and a great thread to follow.

Re: GTM 1/3 Fokker D-7

Steve, do I take it that the rear hatch will be for your switches seeing as you have cut through the wood??

I am getting on pretty well with my build. Tail feathers are done and the fuselage is getting ready for a spot of colour Then it's the stiffening threads!

Re: GTM 1/3 Fokker D-7

Looking good Nigel, yes I've put a dual switch in there.I decided I wanted to make all of the doors functional if I wanted to use them.I'll probabily just use the one for now for the switches/charge jack.I used #0 screws for the doors instead of the supplied steel pins.I also used 2-56 socket head bolts/T-nuts/lock nuts to secure the top mount on the rad instead of the pins. Also used the same on the bottom part of the rad along with the Fokker nut.The screws and bolts arn't scale but are a much stronger setup IMO.

Re: GTM 1/3 Fokker D-7

The Spandues are loaded!Hey Nigel I had to extend the feed chute on right side so the guns would line up correctly, you may have to do this on yours...

Re: GTM 1/3 Fokker D-7

I see what you mean. I put the frame together outside this morning and took a few pictures. It looks like a hack will be needed once the guns are installed.

All good fun isn't it

Re: GTM 1/3 Fokker D-7

Looking good Nigel; The airframe looks extra strong with those added gussets, keep sending those picture updates.I'm tempted to add a few more gussets to mine,I'll think about it..The guns are done, time to get at the floor with the rudder pedals etc.I'm still wondering about my servos/cables installation in relationship with the cockpit floor Nigel have you got this one figured out?Are you going to be running your cables through the scale hole locations on the fabric baffle behind the pilots seat?
