Re: GTM 1/3 Fokker D-7

Steve, I had real trouble with the supplied parts for the trigger parts. I ended up having to fabricate my own in the end. The ply that makes the the frame was cut in the wrong direction for the way the parts needed to curve!

I upgraded one or two other bits on the trigger as a result. They were extremely fiddly!

Re: GTM 1/3 Fokker D-7

Hi Steve,
funny - I am building the GTM DVII for three years now and just today I found this thread.
I am in contact with Nigel, though but he never mentioned this Canadian site.
I am almost done with the build and hope to maiden her this coming May the latest.
I have not gone deeply into this thread as of yet but will do.
I saw you guys had the same problems - big or small - and it is interesting to see how you solved them, f.e. the round tubes in the cockpit's front corners.
I see you are using a MR gear with a ZG62 and will be curious what you tell us about power and sound in the first place. I have this gear on a 1/3 Camel and on a scratch built 1/3 Morane AI - in both aeroplanes the sound is very strange. The power for the Morane is so so.....
I have the same gear as Nigel in my DVII (Schlundt like).
I hope to see your wonderul thread continuing soon.
Till then best regards from Germany!
Tilmann
