Glad you made some progress. Your idle is good, but think the HS is slightly over spec. You should try and remain well below 10K with this one, with 9500 being the recommended max. Since mixture is only part of it, you will have to prop it to match those limits.

Now that you have it running better go back to the original prop and see what happens. You may also want to check and record the needle settings ahead of time so you can at least get close to that if you ever have to remove them for any reason, (cleaning, etc.)

Your 14/6 would likely be equivalent to my 13/8. I went that way for ground clearance, (and looks).
I know there's money in aviation........I put it there!

Re: Saito .91 FS tuning

I am thinking it might have been the plug. Can't help but go back and try each of the variables again to see which it was.
May just have been my inexperience tuning the thing.
Nice to have it running, now if the wind would calm down I could maiden this Mojo 60. And the work bench is clear for the winter build.

Re: Saito .91 FS tuning

And a quick update.
Looks like it was the prop. I put the 14x8 Zoar back on and it was back to the old trouble.
I have a 14x4 APC wide blade that seems to run well on it. A 14x6 is not bad but the 14x8 runs poorly. Hard to believe there is such a big difference but thats what it was. I have a 13x6 and 15x4 to try as well.
