Re: AMR 22% AirTractor / MOKI-150.... BBT
Instead of using the included 3/32" sheeting, I used some awesome, spare 1/16" Carden balsa for the sheeting!!
Saved 0.6oz on the 2 peices of sheeting Cummulative savings = 76.8oz |

Re: AMR 22% AirTractor / MOKI-150.... BBT
This morning I framed up the rudder
I didn't try to save any weight here - it's already a little flimsy and AMR did a good job keeping this light so I didn't want to mess with it! It'll look better tonight when the 1/16" Carden balsa is applied overtop to hide all those burn-marks. I really like how all the peices have the pre-drilled 1/2" hole to insert the 1/2" dowel hardpoint into the unit for the control horn - super easy!!! Now that's one massive counterbalance |

Gotta admit though!!... as much as I'd like to do a Canadian scheme of even RedBull, I do love the yellow/blue scheme!!

The turbo-prop versions are cool but I really love the look of that big round engine. Can't wait to see (and hear) that big Moki on the front of your plane.

Last night I got the rudder sheeted and beveled ... nice to have it looking clean again
I used 1/16" sheeting instead of 3/32" for a savings of 0.5oz Cummulative Savings = 77.3oz |

And I glued the balsa stock together for the rudder and vertical stab tips.
Should be a simple project to shape these tonight I have also epoxied in the 1/2" dowel hardpoint for the rudder control linkage... pics of the finished rudder/vertical stab tonight!! |

Good thing you are pointing to the 2 pieces in the picture! I wouldn't have know what 2 pieces they were.
