Ok I did a search for the Catalina/PBY done in RCAF/RAF and can't seam to find much out there. I picked up a Dynam PBY Catalina with a span of 58" so it has a great size and is made of foam. Any help would be great as I just wish to change it up. Possable a coloured plastic model box or something thing along those lines. Thanks, John

John
I have some pictures in a book here. Not too much there but good info on the plane. Some pictures of an RAF one Maritime patrol scheme.

Re: RCAF/RAF Cataline coloured photos

Thanks any chance you might be able to post or email them to me. I can't seem to find any good photos of the one thats at MountHope Airport with the War Plane Museum as all I seem to find are ones with US markings and not roundals. I though I had seen photos of one in some type of camo colour(white under with brown and black upper) for costal patrol someplace. Thanks John

There is a Canso (PBY-5A Catalina) at the old air base in Botwood,Nfld. It belong
at one time to the NL fire patrol. It has since been repainted to its former
RCAF colours. You can Google it (click image) Botwood, Nfld.

Re: RCAF/RAF Catalina coloured photos

There's a beauty (IMHO) on display in a commemorative park in St. Anthony, NFLD (tip of the northern peninsula). I believe it was used by the NFLD Air Sea Rescue before the Canadian Coast Guard took over. I definately intend to do one in that scheme one day - it would be so easy to see in the air!
