Battery Questions

Just got my 4 x 4 traxxas Slash brushless and am loving it.

However, I only get to use it for like 10 minutes because I run out of battery power and the charger that came with the truck takes 8 hours BRUTAL!!!

So I am needing to buy more batteries and a new charger. I dont think I want to go with LIPO yet. The truck came with a 3300 NiMH 8.4 volt. Should I get more of the same? Is there better ones to get that last longer? or should I just go with the Lipo ones? Also, how many battery packs can you run in a row in your truck before its not good for the truck. I ask because my track is 30 minutes away and it seems silly for me to drive there for only 10 minutes of fun!!!

Lastly, what is the best charger to get for these batteries and that will charge it faster but safely. Hope someone can help!!! Thanks

Re: Battery Questions

lipo doesn't cost much more, especially if you can buy online at hobbyking or hobbypartz, that's the way i'd suggest you go. if you really want nimh then you can find 5000mah packs at, should increase run time by 50% or so.
