Just got the kit in today, nicely packed and bagged with every piece of wood labeled as to where it goes, just need the plans to arrive now so I know where to start. Also got the engine last week, ZDZ 40, setting it up on a test stand, just need the prop to come from Thunderbolt, should be here Wed.

Keith, I will subscribe.
I love ZDZ's aswell. That little 40 will swing close to a G62.

Re: 112" Taylorcraft

Just waiting for the props from Thunderbolt, muffler from Bisson and then I can test run this little baby. Looking forward to that.
Then I just need the plans so I can start work on the kit.
Hopefully by weeks end I will have everything to get started, driving me nuts just sitting here looking at it.

Re: 112" Taylorcraft

Just got the plans in the mail tonite. Put them on the wall to study them. That's 16 ft of plans hanging on the wall, two sheets about 3.5 x 8 each. No build literature with this kit, just the plans, going to be interesting and a challenge.

Re: 112" Taylorcraft

No wing tube on this, uses a canter lever system on the spars. Interesting.

Re: 112" Taylorcraft

whoa, Keith.
Very nice. No instructions.. I know the feeling. The kit i am building has no plans. It does have a very roughly translated set of instruction. Most of the translations make no sense.
The best they give me are some metric measurements so i can at least figure what size the piece of wood should be.
I do have a goid set of photos on a disk though. So that at least helps.

Thats going to be a nice build.
