Looking at putting together another Northstar this time electric.
I need some suggestions on power systems. Should be equivalent to an OS 46/55ish. Max prop diameter of 12"

Re: Setup Recommendations
You can go here http://www.electrifly.com/powersyste...nversions.html http://www.ehow.com/how_7845526_conv...-electric.html The link will take you to some info on procedure. Or go to http://www.electrifly.com/motors/gpmg4505.html and plug in the all up weight of the plane (I know, catch 22 if you don't know which engine etc., how can you get the AUW?) Get the airframe weight and add the weight of a motor (and esc and battery) that your best guess says will fly it, plug that weight into the electrifly calc. and get a recommendation for a motor. then use that motor's weight and the weight of all it's peripherals, added to the airframe weight and run the calc again. This time you will be able to choose the best motor for your situation. It should be somewhere around a 42/60/800 I think.
The North Star as far as I know is what the J3 Cub would have been if they were able to have a "Do Over".
