Its a bit off topic but I'm with you on the range/failsafe issue. But, I have taken my Radian 2m glider up as far as I could see it (Orange rx only), switched my DX8 off (yes, off), counted to 20, turned it back on, rebind in 4 seconds. I have about ten with/without sattelites, on helis, planes, no issues at all in over a year. Got a 3D foamy stuck in a tree (orange rx only), drove home to get some rope/throwing things, back 20 minutes later turned TX back on, rebound, and flew it out of the tree (throwing didn't work..too high).
