civil engineer by schooling (U of A) but project manager for a construction company now.

As much as the oil and gas sector sucks it's the main reason the recession didn't touch us here in Alberta. our company actually had record revenue and profits that year.

Re: What Do You Do for Work/Job?

Worked in the Auto Collision Repair field for some 27 years, 23 of which I ran my own Auto Body shop.

4 years ago I made the decision to get out of the dust, paint and fumes and decided to take a slightly differant career path and became an Auto Damage Appraiser for our Provincial Insurer. Definately a differant set of headaches, but a lot easier on the body.

I also have an every 2nd weekend relief maintenace job at our local Health Care Facility and love doing that.....very satisfying and fullfilling.

Life is good!

You can fly Hitec or use the other "low tech" stuff!!

Re: What Do You Do for Work/Job?

Been in the trucking industry all my life. 17 years on the floor as a mechanic, owned my own shop for a few years, along with driving school bus as a side job. Then went back working for someone else several years ago as a parts manager for the trailer dealership. Currently as a parts manager for a trailer refrigeration dealership.
