Am building 96" aerobatic & the plans give two engine mount instructions. One no side thrust & one 3 deg.I,m sure there should be some but 3deg seem,s like a lot.Any experience shared here would be appreciated.

Re: Side thrust?

Its easy enough to experiment by just adding small shim/washer..Test fly..Add or remove as needed. Its been awhile but i thought 3 deg was pretty standard.

Re: Side thrust?

Three is no problem the cowl will have a bit built into it so it will look pretty normal , you will find out when you knife edge , you might need more , or see how it hovers , good luck

Re: Side thrust?

If you're building it, put n 2-3 degrees of fin offset [LE to the left] like full size. If you're just assembling it, 'fraid you're stuck with zero. Tex.

Re: Side thrust?

Carden kits call for 2.5 degrees of right thrust. Sound pretty normal to me.
