Trex 500 ESP metal head stopper

I am fixing my Trex 500 ESP after a crash last fall, and down to the last few things. The metal head stopper bolt was broken at base, and I can't remove the stud from the rotor housing. Do I have to worry about the metal head stopper? And no, I don't intend on landing on the rotor head.

If I have to reinstall the disk, any recommendations on how to remove the bolt stud without damaging the head?

It's stopper is not needed. You would need a tiny screw extractor. I've never seen one that small but they probably exist. You'll probably end up scaring up the top of the head trying to get it out. If it was me I wouldn't bother with it.

+1 on what 824TSV said. I read on HF that some people actually take out those stoppers to prevent the grips from being damaged more from a crash.
