Was at the Local CTC here. No redline. They did have Lucas 2 cycles and Amsoil

Both around the $15 a litre price. Any feelings as to if the Lucas is any good. Was a semi synthetic

Tod,

Whatch what Amsoil youbuy at CT. I think they only sell the Intercepter which is meant for 50:1. The Sabre is the 100:1 mix which most DAs run.

flyboysnow,

Where was the AMA Expo and when?

Tht's pretty far North for DA to travel, wow dedicated those guyz are.

I tried the Lucas. Its a 50/50 oil .half synthetic, half mineral.
It seemed to work ok and burn fairly clean. But we found it left a lot of soft carbon build up on the piston.

Re: Red-Line Oil

For those that NEED redline oil, but can't find it, try HERE
Off on the right side, they show both mail order and retail outlets. On the left is the "Dealer Locator",

Re: Red-Line Oil

Most Performance shops carry it.

Performance Improvements, Marken, rudy Helds, dasilvas..... all had some the last time i was there.n
My local CT still has tons of the Redline Racing and snowmobile 2cycle stuff. at twice the price of say the lucas etc, hard to justify but.... I guess I'll buy some for the sake of having it.

Re: Red-Line Oil

Just walked out of my local CTC. They have 2 bottle son the shelf.
No indication of it going away. Regular price, no markdown or notice of clearance.
I will be driving by another later today. i will stop in and see what they have done.

I will be honest, Redline works good in the engine. But I get lots of black s#*t under my planes with it. Even at 50:1

I got a 6 bottles of Stihl Ultra HP from scaleguy that I am going to try.
See if it burns cleaner.

On my 50cc Edge I am running 32:1 break in oil. Just a mineral based 2 stroke oil from Canadian Tire. At 32:1, this stuff is clean. No black spots.

The Redline must not fully burn with the gas.
