Hey guys,
Anyone know where I can get carbon fibre parts prefab and CNC`d in CANADA. Round tubes, square, flat plates, etc... Guess I want a fabricator that understands CAD drawings and can work the material from specs, not a hobby shop. I have someone here, but for 4 different plates they want $3,800.00 !
found interesting stuff online, but not really interested in US and China suppliers...want to keep it Canadian.

Thanks.

Re: Carbon Fiber

G,
are you looking at this for prototype or production work? I have prototyping capability as my machines are DRO not CNC... I can do short run work of a few pieces or less but when it comes to production runs it is not feasible to do it this way... vice versa, CNC is pricey for short run stuff because of setup...

Re: Carbon Fiber

I have cut out the odd bit of carbon fiber on my Phlatprinter. I'm just a hobbyist so I am not interested in doing production work but I can probably make your prototype.

How big of plates are we talking about here? Thin material is prefered as cutting 1/8" plates takes a fair number of passes.
